Seitsemän was a cycle of seven concerts taking place in the historical surroundings of the old military fortress Suomenlinna on the coastline of Helsinki. Ensemble Adapter hosted the events during the winter, a time when the island’s cultural life has rather been quiet over the years. The  title "Seitsemän" (english: seven) both refers to the amount of concerts and to the week day Sunday as the seventh day of the week, on which the concerts were being held. The concert programs included contemporary music involving instrumentalists, composers and artists from Finland, Iceland, Norway and Germany.
